- Dan graduated with a Bachelor's degree in finance and a Master's degree in accounting from Michigan State University in East Lansing Michigan. Shannon has an associates degree in child development from Lansing Community College in Michigan. We traveled a lot together in college and one of our favorite places to visit was Colorado. After graduating in 1999 we got married and decided to move out to Colorado to see if we could make it work. We decide on the town of Evergreen to live in. It was close to Denver, had a cute downtown and the lake had hiking and ice skating. We thought it seemed like the picture perfect place to live. We found a place to rent in South Evergreen. While it was an awesome place to live, we eventually ended up buying in Conifer and have been equally happy living there. We have had 3 wonderful boys since living in Colorado and feel so fortunate to be able to raise them in the mountain community. After years of working in accounting and child care we decided to follow our passion for real estate. In 2011 Shannon got her real estate license and began the journey. Dan joined in 2013 and we are now The Miller Team. We know the area well, and know what it is like to move from out of the area.
