Retail & Business Offices, as well as a Theater... yes, a Theater! This Historical building was built in 1923. It's exterior facade was derived from Spanish architecture & design. The interior structure was re-modeled by architect "Grover Taylor" in the early 80'S and then renovated on 11/20/1981. This building has quite an historical background here in Fontana, it has been host to many different businesses through out the years, from a grocery store named "Walker's Market" to a pawn shop called "Sierra Trading Post" and dubbed "The Largest Pawn Shop In The World!" As well as home to the "Fontana Mummers" (Local Community Theater Group) in the mid 80'S to the present time. The building is now called "Casa De La Nuevo" - translation into English, "House Of The New". The City Of Fontana now holds it's "Market & Cruise Nights" right in front of the building & features it's historical facade for all to enjoy as they take in the music of "Live Bands" from the front parking lot of "Casa De La Nuevo" each event. We are located one block from the Fontana City Hall, the Fontana Police Department & right next to Bank Of America!
