Malana Medical Spa is a new anti-aging and skin care clinic located in Marina Del Rey at the cross streets of Admiralty Way and Mindanao Way. We opened our doors as a medical spa in the Spring of 2007 with an office in the Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center. Our services consist of cutting-edge laser resurfacing and laser rejuvenation treatments to treat various skin conditions like acne and acne scars, wrinkles, poor skin tone and texture (including brown spots and discolorations), melasma, rosacea, vascular lesions, enlarged pores and more. We use a combination of lasers from the FDA-approved Harmony platform such as IPL and Pixel to resurface skin and achieve the desired effect. Our treatments do not require any down time. At worst, you may experience some redness and peeling - a normal occurence as new resurfaced skin is formed, but most patients return to work the same day. Using lasers in combination with other treatments such as Botox, Restylane or Juvederm injections can achieve what we call a mini facelift to obtain a younger look without the pain and risk of surgery. The treatments at Malana Medical Spa focus mainly on age-prevention and helping the body repair existing damage to the skin, making surgery or more drastic treatments less likely in the future. Our medical director, Mark R. Pulera MD is a Mount Sinai School of Medicine graduate, was in residency at UCLA school of medicine and is a board-certified neurologist. Dr. Pulera has been extensively trained for cosmetic laser treatments and injections of Botox and Dermal fillers and has been in private practice in Los Angeles for over 8 years. His interest in cosmetic medicine stems from multiple disciplines such as the study of dermatology, laser science and the mechanisms of cellular death. Our staff includes Stacy Pulera, R.N., B.S.N., Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, an experienced ICU nurse who has a considerable background performing cosmetic treatments. Stacy was extensively trained by physicians to perform laser treatments as well as Botox and dermal filler injections. Along with laser resurfacing and light based treatments, other services include a series of European facials targeted to specific skin conditions, laser hair removal and photofacials, and we will soon be offering our own line of cosmetics. We offer free consultations, financing is available and we accept cash, check, mastercard and visa. Our facilities serve Marina Del Rey, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Culver City, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach communities.
