The Canine Club, Northern Nevada's Premier Dog Day Care & Training Center, has been in operation at the same location since August of 1995. http://TheCanineClub.net/ We offer the best local value for both dog day care and dog training, and we are very conveniently located near 395 and I-80.
As of 2006Sep28, all of the dog day cares in the Reno/Sparks area cost about $18/day. However, The Canine Club is the only regional dog day care facility with Certified Pet Dog Trainers ( http://CCPDT.org/ ) on staff, and we also have the highest staff/dog ratio for a facility of our size (generally three or four dozen dogs each day).
Our group dog training classes use the latest, scientifically validated, dog-friendly methods, and two of our trainers just returned from the annual Association of Pet Dog Trainers conference in Kansas City, MO ( http://APDT.com/ ). Our current class price is $79 for a six-week, one hour per week, course; class size limited to ten dog-handler teams. We also offer $10 off their first class for rescue dogs and the same discount for continuing education. Very high quality at a very low price.
We also offer boarding for your canine companions. However, we are more expensive than most places in town. The reason for this is that we have staff onsite 24x7. This not only means that your dog is extraordinarily safe, but you may also drop off or pick up you dog on any day and at any hour (with prior arrangements, of course), getting your puppy home sooner and often saving a day or two of boarding fees! Boarding also includes day care during the entire stay, however all boarding dogs must meet our day care requirements (please see our website for details).
The Canine Club also has a small retail store designed primarily to support our training program. We not only have the usual leashes, harnesses and toys, but unique training treats and the best selection of advice books for doggy-related issues.
