- The Calumet Lake Pavilion has been a Jasper icon since it was built in 1941 by Edward and Dorothy Lorey. Since 1954, Ed and Rosie Rees have maintained The Calumet’s status as one of Dubois County’s most popular places for good food and fun times. New owners, Steve and Helene Crews, are very excited about not only carrying on the tradition of The Calumet, but hopefully taking it to a new level. With their extensive backgrounds in business and entertainment, it’s a perfect venue for their varied talents;- not the least of which is being outstanding Celebrity Impersonators. The first "THE (almost) CHER & (nearly) ROD SHOW", with none other than Helene & Steve Crews, of course, as these two timeless, living legends will take place on September 15, 2007. Future events at The Calumet will include more Celebrity Impersonator shows, Live Bands, Karaoke, Dances, Murder Mysteries, Cabaret Shows, Comedy Shows and more. The Pavilion is also available for Weddings, Banquets, Reunions and other parties. Also watch for extended days and hours, (opening for LUNCH on or about August 1st) and an expanded menu. But, have no fear;- Rosie’s Original Recipe Pizza will always remain on our menu. See you at The Calumet!
