• ORIGINS In 2008 when The Global Thread Collective (GTC) was created, America was going through an economic rough patch that affected the entire world. We wanted to do our part in creating and contributing another resource that would not only benefit the U.S., but would reach across the globe. We created a website that features artwork submitted from artists around the world, manually printed on different cuts of apparel. The Global Thread Collective is committed in keeping as much manufacturing and 100% of the production in the U.S.A. The clothing blanks are exclusively from American Apparel and Anvil Organics. GTCʼs mission is to promote a green, eco-friendly product. At least 80% of our apparel is organic and we use locally purchased eco-friendly water-based inks. GTCʼs packaging material is biodegradable and reusable, also made in the U.S.A. We combine these principles with the extraordinary talents from artists all over the world. ARTISTS The designs are submitted from artists around the world. In San Diego California, their imagination is then manually printed, per order, on a variety of styles chosen. Our name reflects the collective spirit in showcasing not only their fresh designs, but the stories of the artists themselves. Our global effort is vital in promoting awareness of the artistsʼ dedication and passion behind each custom design. It is our wish to become another voice that reaches across the globe to resurrect the dwindling interest in the arts. MICRO-CREDIT FUNDING - SPREADING THE LOVE Since we love people and people love us, we spread the love from every item sold with micro-credit funding. CONSUMERS - Shipping and Returns GTC ships orders within 10 business days, excluding holidays. During Christmas and holidays, please allow up to 5 extra days. We will begin posting reminders during the holiday season - try to order EARLY as we do not offer express delivery at this time. Remember, your items are not sitting on a shelf when you place the order. Materials are ordered, received, printed, then shipped. Be stoked. Please remember that each piece is printed by hand; no automatic machines printing 1000ʼs of identical items per hour. There are humans over here manually pulling a squeegee over a tricked out stencil on a hand set cotton piece. We do our best for quality control, but consider each item a one-of-a-kind where color variations can never be reproduced identically. Darker pigment or random coloring usually washes out with time and adds to itʼs uniqueness. If its totally killing your game, send it back and weʼll hook you up. Returns and exchanges will be accepted if the item is returned in its original, unused condition within 30 days. After 30 days, you will receive credit minus the shipping for future purchases.
