- Stumpjack Coffee Company, who's tagline reads "Fine Coffees, Ambiance & Hip Art," is a very cool coffee shop that has built its reputation on exceptional service and outstanding coffee. The space itself is warm and relaxing, and includes a pair of early century murals that were uncovered during renovation. The ambiance is further defined by an eclectic mix of music and art, and the cafe also functions as a gallery for rotating art exhibitions. A limited lunch menu of panini sandwiches, soups, and pasta salads is currently available, along with an assortment of pastries, and plans are in store for an additional evening menu of specialty pizzas and antipasti. Origin coffees, varieties and blend coffees are roasted locally by a master roaster and are always the freshest in the area. A selection of wines and microbrewed beers are also available. Stumpjack Coffee has also earned first place in the county's "Best of..." awards in the Live Entertainment category, and they have live music two or three times each month, along with chess nights, poetry readings, wine tastings, art openings and other happenings. Stumpjack Coffee is open Wednesday-Saturday 7am-9pm and Sunday 8:30-1:00, with Live Music nights closing at around 10:00 pm. The cafe is located on the main street of the city, in a late 1800s historic building, with a beautiful original pressed tin ceiling.
