I graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1962, from SWSTU (now Texas State University) in 1967, (BA Political Science) and from St. Mary's School of Law in 1970 (Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree...Law). Following graduation and licensing, I worked for 2 years for US Dist.Judge John H. Wood, Jr, and after that, was appointed by the US Attorney General to serve as Assistant US Attorney for the Western District of Texas, based in San Antonio. I served from 1972 - 1976 under US Attorney William S. Sessions, who later was appointed to serve as the FBI Director in Washington,D.C. In 1990 I founded my own law firm, which became the 18th largest in San Antonio by 1996, as published in the 1997 San Antonio Business Journal's "Book of Lists."
