• B.R.A.I.N. is an acronym for Brain Rehabilitation and Injury Network. We are a non-profit organization (501(c)(3) that advocates for and administers help to brain-injured individuals and their families. Our mission is to advance the highest level of research, recovery, and residual care for adults who suffer from a brain injury and to provide their families with resources and suport. We conduct a weekly meeting on Tuesdays from 5:00 to 7:00 called F.B.I. (Friends of Brain Injury) in which survivors and their families are invited to come free of charge to interact with and receive information regarding brain injury. We have a weekly meeting as of October, 2012 on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 for military survivors of both TBI and PTSD to socialize and give support to one another. We produce a monthly newsletter which can be subscribed to by going to our website at www.thebrainsite.org. We have a social networkin program which is a one-on-one partnership with one survivor paired with one volunteer which we call Brain Cells. The pair meet on a friendship basis on their own arranged schedule. We have therapists located in our facility who are available by appointment for Speech/Language therapy, massage therapy and a group yoga class. Call us for an appointment.
