- Teaching Aikido in Albuquerque since 1994. We are an intentionally small, independent dojo (training hall), combining the modern, multiple attacker self-defense of Aikido with traditional Zen practice. Zazen (seated meditation) is integrated into each Aikido class. Our teacher, Jim Redel, has over 50 years of combined zen and martial arts experience. At its core, Jim uses instruction in the martial arts to help students awaken to the true workings of the mind.
