The Washington DC Wado-ryu Karate Club was established in 2011 in hopes of spreading the wado-ryu, a japanese martial art based on jujitsu, iaido, and karate. There are very few clubs that teach this art in the entire northeast region. In total, there are less than five "legitimate" schools. We train for self defense--not as a means but as a process. The purpose of training is to better yourself physically and mentally. Come join us for a free class on Mondays at 7:30. We meet at the DC Dance Collective studio, our home for the time being.
