The Bucksnort Trading Company and Saloon is a unique store for the midwest. The business is located just 3 miles north of I-70 at exit 89 which is approximately 10 miles east of 65 highway and 15 miles west of Boonville, Mo. When you step into the store the first thing you notice is the great smell from the soaps, herbs, textiles and leather. Customers have said that the store reminds them of stores that they have visited in the southwest United States. The Saloon part of the business is a living history museum where you can belly up to the bar and drink one of the old time sodas that we serve including sarsaparilla, cream soda and root beer. Settle back in one of the period chairs and listen to one of the finest ragtime piano players in the United States if not in the World. The Saloon is only open on Saturday and Sunday but it is worth the wait. Occasionally the proprietor gets in trouble with his wife for flirting with the beautiful saloon girl that serves up the drinks on a Saturday.
