Altered Sewing is an alteration shop for womens, childrens and some mens clothing. We also specialize in custom made clothing, curtains, or soft home furnishings. Inside our shop is a womens quality consignment boutique. The boutique carries gently worn dresses, wedding dresses(SOME NEW) cocktail dresses, good dress clothing and Up-cycled or Re-purposed clothing. The boutique also carries hand crafted items, such as jewlery, pocketbooks, as well as some vintage items.
The shop is along the lines of vintage, shabby, chic. The hours for the shop is Tuesdays - fridays 10-4 and saturdays 10-3 or by appt. The shop is located right on Rt 302 in Casco. Look for the big purple sign with the bright yellow mannaquin.
The goal of the shop is to make anyone who enters to feel like they are at home. The dressing room is big enough to accomodate wedding gown fittings and has a victorian chaise lounge for the exhausted.
