- Hello, I am an independent consultant for Ambit Energy serving the Dallas and surrounding areas. About Ambit Energy: Ambit Energy has been around since 2006. With the deregulation in the US Ambit Energy started in Texas and has now expanded to New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Illinois. Ambit Energy not only provides very competitive rates but also offers you to opportunity to get free electricity by simply referring customers to Ambit. Everyday we recommend a product or a service and have never been compensated for our referrals. Ambit does just that. I initially became a customer and saved about 40% on my bill. I then referred over 24 people (require minimum) 15 and started receiving (almost free) electricity for the past 7 months. My bill has never exceeded $20. Basically Ambit calculates the dollar average from 15 of your referred customers and then credits your monthly bill. You cover the difference if any. Just for signing up as a customer, Ambit Energy gives you 3 day, 2 night travel voucher and travel points for every kilowatt used.
