Solutions for these can range from the simple to the extreme. Viruses and malware are written and spread around the internet by people from all around the world on a daily (hourly more truthful) basis. So even the simple act of running a "scan" from a virus scanner is not 100% accurate at finding and removal of viruses or malware. Just know that the act of removing viruses can be risky to your operating system and "may" cause the need for re-installation of the operating system. This is usually the case when I find a computer system has been severely lacking in any windows, antivirus, or software updates what-so-ever. But, if this is to be the solution then I am happy to say that nine times out of ten your data (pictures, documents, emails, music, videos, ect..) can be saved and reinstalled.
