The Beddin' Down is a Bed and Breakfast located just outside of Salida, Colorado. We have facilities for your horses; private stalls, a lighted arena, and a fenced pasture area. We offer a full gourmet breakfast, and can work with special diets, including Vegetarian and Gluten-Free. We are only 30 minutes from Monarch Pass Ski Resort, and there are four outdoor and one indoor hot springs within an hours drive of our location. We are less then a mile from the Arkansas River, a world class fly fishing and rafting river. In fact, it is the most rafted river in the United States. We are also three miles from the Mount Shavano State Fish Hatchery and Frantz Lake SWA, which also provide excellent fishing. Chaffee County, of which Salida is the county seat, is over 70% public land, with lots of trails for hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, ATVs, and other off-road vehicles. Salida is an excellent small town, named by Outdoor Magazine as one of the 20 Dream Towns in America, and only five miles away. Their downtown area is one of the largest historical districts in Colorado, filled with restaurants, shops, and art galleries.
