Hours - 9:00am-1:00pm Toddler Ratio: 2:8 Twos' Ratio: 2:12 PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS Serving children ages 3 years to 5 years Hours - 9:00am-12:00pm (with an extended day option to 1:00pm) Ratio: 2:13 and 2:14 Transition Class-five year old Hours - 9:00am-1:00pm Ratio: 2:16 Superior Curriculum. Our literacy based curriculum enhances our student’s ability to attend to stories and to recall and re-tell them. Through the use of games and activities we expand upon the children's understanding of the characters, the sequence of events and comprehension of the text. We guide students in the use of picture cues, using illustrations to predict and hypothesize what might be coming next in the text. We build an understanding that text reads from left to right. Students begin to grasp that the written text has meaning and that each word is essentially a symbol. Therefore, we work on sight words. We use letter sounds, rhyming, alliteration and other word play to assist students in a deeper understanding of the written word. We practice the above strategies while reading mini books and Big Books. We work with books that use repetitive text and good picture cues to promote success.
