From its inception, ACORN Landscape Management Group, Inc. expanded from lawn and landscape maintenance to lawn installations and complete landscape implementation projects from concept and design to construction and completion. Our landscape efforts have sometimes been as simple as the recommendation and placement of a single tree into an existing landscape. Other times, they have had the complexity of complete front, side and rear yard lush garden design and build projects, providing dynamic seasonal colors. We have often completed landscape renovation projects on existing homes to achieve a refreshing, new look.
Projects which involve plant materials (trees, shrubs, bushes, perennials, and ground covers) are often referred to as “soft scapes.” Those involving hard materials (decorative pavers, wall block, natural stone, and outcrop) are called “hard scapes.” Frequently, our projects involve both soft scapes and hard scapes. In fact, the majority of ACORN’s business lies in those two areas.
Acorn’s hard scape projects have included natural stone and brick paver patios, pool surrounds, stair cases, sidewalks, entryways, and driveways – simple or with integrated designs and borders. Some of those projects and others have included seat walls and retaining walls of natural and man-made stone block. We have even designed and built free-standing brick and natural stone pillars and mailboxes. Additional specialties include outdoor fire pits, fireplaces (simple and ornate), and pizza ovens. ACORN has designed and built many outdoor single and multi-level bars, grills, and outdoor kitchens complete with burners, grills, sinks, and appliances.
Further ACORN specialties include dramatic low voltage landscape lighting, custom pergolas, water features, and Koi ponds. Waterfalls and streams have been integrated into some of our water features.
