- Janusz Maszkiewicz owner of Vienna Woods Inc. build his company over fascination in Biedermeier furniture for its simplicity and classic proportions as well as a choose of beautiful woods.He learn the craft of designing and making furniture back in his native Poland which was long family tradition. He move to California in 1993 and open his first workshop in Santa Monica under the name of Maszkiewicz Bros. which late become Vienna Woods Inc. Our new location since 1996 is in heart of Hollywood on 351 South La Brea Ave. on the corner of La Brea and 4TH Street just few blocks north of Wilshire Blvd. We specialize in fine antique restoration and renovation of old furniture using the same old technical tricks like french polishing and veneering to brings those pieces to its original glory. We are very proud to say no job is to small in this department. We also manufacture reproductions of unique antique pieces of furniture mostly from Biedermeier and Art Deco period as well as design and make our original pieces. All this is done by hand with great knowledge how to make good furniture in our workshop in the back of ours premises on La Brea Ave. You can visit our showroom Monday through Saturday from 10AM to 5PM and workshop Monday through Friday same hours.
