- I began my career as an apprentice carpenter in 1976, I've been building and remodeling residential and commercial buildings for over 45 years. I still do the same work, but I wanted to take that experience and start something that would benefit the home buyer and possibly save them money in doing so. That's why I started my building inspection business, starting a business in the middle of a pandemic, I'm finding it to be a little slow to get going. Networking with businesses I've never really associated with like banks and insurance agents is new for me. A little about what I actually do, I inspect the electric and plumbing and HVAC making sure the mechanics are all in working order. The roof, windows, doors and exterior and interior of the structure make sure there's no mold or moisture damage, it's actually more in-depth. An inspection can be extended with addons such as water wells, radon, carbon dioxide their extra because there not a part of the structure.
