- Johnston's Old Fashion Meat Market has served the Monticello area since 1926 with four generations of a local family. Over the years our services have expanded to include a custom cut meat market, custom country catering and a special fundraising service with our slow cookers. Boston Butts and Picnic Hams are very popular fundraising items in north Florida and south Georgia. This year we have add custom exempt processing for Beef, Pork, Goat and Lamb at our location. Local farmers have their meat processed with us to custom specifications. Our meat market also offers grass-fed chopped beef from local farms. Our popular hickory smoked meats and sausages are enjoyed from Miami to Tallahassee and beyond. Our beef or pork sausage is available in hot, medium or mild flavors and all of them can be served with our own BBQ sauce that we sell in our country store. We are open Monday through Saturday and we serve breakfast and lunch each day. We are conveniently located along Route 90 near the Court House in downtown Monticello, Florida.
