As this gap grows, so too does the number of dedicated varicose vein practices run by providers who have no formal residency training in a vascular specialty. With this problem in mind, Dr. Kieger founded Mountain Spring Vascular in 2020. Our mission is to provide personalized vascular specialty care that delivers the highest value for patients. This translates into more time with our doctor and less time filling out paperwork. We offer comprehensive vascular evaluations and minimally-invasive varicose vein treatments in a comfortable and friendly outpatient atmosphere.
Dr. Kieger’s connection to the D.C-Maryland-Virginia area was made through his Diagnostic Radiology residency training at Johns Hopkins. He completed subspecialty training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Chicago’s Northwestern University/McGaw Medical Center in 2018. This is the same institution where, from 2008-2013, he graduated medical school and trained as a General Surgery intern.
Currently serving as Medical Director for Fauquier Hospital, Dr. Kieger is specialty-board certified in Vascular Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He performs minimally-invasive procedures that produce excellent results and a quick recovery, rarely requiring a hospital stay. He uses cutting-edge techniques that enable him to treat a wide array of conditions through a tiny needle puncture. Most importantly, he dedicates ample time to his patients during consultations, and is readily available to them every step of the way.
Dr. Kieger and his wife Maren live in Warrenton and enjoy mountain biking, hiking, traveling and cooking with friends and family. They are ever in awe of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which was their inspiration for the Practice’s name and esthetics. Their dog Olivia is also inspiring in her own way, and she loves to come along on their adventures.
