The LKNFear call Lake Norman North Carolina, home. We are presented by HOPE @ Lake Norman. We're committed to making our community a better place to live, do business and grow. Hope @ Lake Norman-Goals & Objectives Our goal is for HOPE @ Lake Norman (Helping Other People Excel @ Lake Norman) to become a successful not-for-profit program created, developed and administered as a grass-roots mainstay in the community, helping others reach their goals & objectives! Our goals include, but are not limited to: OUTREACH: * Help check the neighbors- Identify our neighbors who may be disabled, handicapped or elderly who may not have a family member or other caring person to check on them during peak winter & summer periods. Resource-people * HOPE Resource Bank- Identify and support local charitable organizations & other worthy needs. Help other people excel in their life's. Offer support. Establish two databases. The first, a database of all the local "social services" type organizations, what they offer to who, a contact and critical support information. Next, a private "in-house" database of those seeking services. Match the needs with services. (A clearing-house for the needs) The organization should identify those needs, find the gap, and HOPE to help fill the need. * HOPE Youth- Provide a forum for our youth to be involved with a "productive activity." Some of those activities should include; sports, recreation, be mentored, community involvement and the desire to refocus on helping others, for all ages. Our target should include 17-25 year range. We also hope to provide an alternative to delinquency, general mischievousness or worse... by offering a team environment, recreation and cultural enrichment for our young adults. We will provide life enrichment, team building, mentoring, fraternity of many, continuing college eligibility and entertainment. * HOPE Giveback- Donate gate proceeds, race car benefits, fund raising events to local deserving charity. Some deserving programs already includes local Special Olympics, Pregnancy Resolution Center, little league football, coaching, mentoring, our returning veterans & many more are in the works. We plan to initiate a program to also involve our youth by sponsoring our youth football team the Little Lake Norman Fear which involves many more of our youth citizens. * HOPE affordable family entertainment- Provide affordable family entertainment with car shows, football games, and others. Not every family can afford to go see the Panthers. Feeds to our HOPE Giveback program. * Multi-level HOPE "Tag"- Get 11 people involved with HOPE. Those 11 people must sign up 11 each. So-on... Almost like multi-level marketing, but multi-level helping. The goal is for each person to donate one hour per week helping others. After only two cycles the total man-hours (m/hrs) committed to helping others is 14,641 m/hrs per week. That would be considered in statistical terms as "Significant Difference." This small effort could grow to something huge and could, in fact, be the largest program for HOPE @ Lake Norman. This resource building program provides the foundation for HOPE. (Literally as well) SERVICE PROVIDER:TBD by BOD As a service provider, we are only limited by resources. "Services," especially youth services, requires a "full-time" Executive Director (better known to "new" organizations as "Program Manager" PM). The PM would need to have an office with required equipment, funding and capital resources. If counseling or beds are required, more resources would be required. A "need gap" has been identified by a Board member. HOPE @ Lake Norman has no political or religious affiliations or commitments. HOPE does recognize the needs in our local community and the lack of resources to fill those needs. We strive to fill those needs with resource involvement. We can reach out and help our neighbors. We believe in the core values of what this country was founded on and those values included people helping people, neighbors helping neighbors and Americans helping Americans.
