- I am an artist specializing in oil paintings working in the arts district of downtown Canton. My business is located in suite 207 above Second April Art Galerie, the largest art galleries in the area. Some of my favorite subjects are faces of all kinds but animals (pets and horses) in particular. I sell a variety of original art from my art studio 'White Horse Studio'. The mainstay of my business comes from people commissioning me to paint portraits of their pets for them. When you visit my studio you often can see various paintings as a 'work in progress' along with completed work. I also enjoy painting horse art. I often have large, colorful paintings of a more abstract nature depicting the movement and spirit of the horse. Along with my studio is a wide range of other independent artists who are working and selling art in this same location in their studios as well as in the gallery downstairs. You would find artists in the other studios specializing in beautiful landscapes, seascapes, digital art and photography, jewelry, graphic arts, bodywork and wood carving to name just a few. The 10K square foot gallery is a hub of art and activity in the downtown Canton area featuring local artwork ranging from pottery, fiber arts, jewelry, wall art, paintings, sculptures, woodturning and more with new artwork being brought in regularly. We invite you to visit anytime during regular gallery hours. I, along with other studio artists participate in 'Open Studio Fridays' where you can stop in and see artists at work. We welcome visitors and strive to create a warm, friendly atmosphere. On the first Friday of each month the whole downtown arts district comes alive with the help of Arts In Stark by hosting free special events, live music, art galleries, food, street vendors and more for a lively, fun evening. I am so pleased to be a part of such a vibrant art community. There is so much to see and do that I think you will enjoy your time here.
