Each of the thirteen remodeled rooms at The Flamingo Motel are decorated as you would in your own home reflecting a different theme, i.e., nautical, northwest cabin, caribbean/hawaiian, english garden, Irish cottage, etc. The current clientele reserve rooms from as far away as the Netherlands, Austria, South America and Australia for their summer vacations in the USA. Repeat customers are from Canada, Montana and points East traveling from Glacier and Yellowstone on their way to the Pacific Coast. They claim their nights spent here are the very best of all their overnight stays over weeks of traveling. The Flamingo Motel is at 7th Street and Sherman Avenue right where the Parades begin that go along Sherman to 1st Street and the City Beach & Park on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Visitors park in front of their ground floor rooms and spend their visit walking to all the restaurants, shops, art galleries, parks and hiking trails. Because cycling & boating are so popular here, they rent their conveyances right on Sherman Avenue returning to their rooms only as necessary during their entire stay.
