- Glass Orchids We design and create handmade glass jewelry, accessories, dishes and more. All work is created here in our studio which is in a converted dairy barn on our 100 acre farm. We have a small gallery/outlet store which you can visit to purchase our work. We offer 'seconds' at a great value in our gallery. The sign by the road says "Frankfort Glassworks". Much of our work is made using Dichroic Glass, which is a space age material used in lasers. Our glass is fused in a kiln up to 1500 degrees. Our work can be found in shops across the State of Maine as well as across the United States. Our farm was built in 1864 by an Sea Captain and today produces hay which is gathered and used by a local dairy farmer. We raise chickens, ducks and quail for our own enjoyment and for eggs.
