Shop At Clares, LLC (formerly Clares Closet) has been in business at 58 Noble Street for over 15 years. We have gone through many changes during those years and recently changed our name from Clares Closet (which was our clothing consignment shop) to Shop At Clares (to better reflect our current on-line and off-line inventory offerings). We no longer consign clothing, but rather offer a variety of new items from local businesses, along with merchandise from not-so-local companies in both our brick and mortar store and our web store. Our motto is “Selling what we like and liking what we sell!”
Our merchandise from Kutztown area businesses consists of handcrafted African products; dirndls and other German items; sheepskin rugs, hats, coats, boots and accessories; handcrafted wooden spoons and boards; leather briefcases and organizers; dental care products – just to mention a few.
The eco-friendly and organizational products we offer include: outdoor and indoor clothes lines and dryers; laundry accessories including clothespins, wash bags, hampers, sorters; ironing boards, covers, cord minders, pressing pads; kitchen cabinet and closet organizers; colorful clothes hangers: shoe organizers; portable storage closets and boxes; and even a ladders and step stools to help you reach those places that need some organization.
As a spin-off from our clothing consignment days, we continue to offer Hollywood Fashion Tape products, Foot Petals, D-Fuzz Its, and stain removal products. Additionally, we offer a huge variety of kitchen timers, thermometers, scales, cooking and food preparation products.
Of course, we love to celebrate and have some fun so we offer a wide variety of picnic baskets and accessories; coolers; wine and cheese totes; cheese boards; BBQ sets for camping and tailgating; portable outdoor chairs; drink ware; metal art for the garden and home from Regal Art & Gift; funky lap desks by Room It Up.
