This is the "STEEL MAGNOLIAS" of Havana, Florida. The customers
eat lunch and rummage through the consignmant shop from local
gal born and raised in the communnity. Lots of personal photos and motorcycle stuff decorate the small cafe. It's like going
home for lunch. Has nice outside patio to eat on too, if you so desire! Must like chatty people to enjoy this place!!!!
If you like the song cheeseburgers in paradise you'll probably like this place. Yummy chili dogs and B.L.T.'s too. The sweet tea is one of T's specialties.
There is a consingment shop/thrift store on the inside fenced in patio which has just about anything you can think up. There is a wish list that you may be placed on for items youd like to see in the shop in the future. "T" really likes wicker in just about anything so you'll see wicker tables, lamps, makeup vanities, animals (ESPECIALLY RACCOONS)...and lots of other wicker stuff too. There are always odd pieces of outside furniture for entertaining. Candles and candle holders are in good supply. A few trendy and funky clothes are available too. Then there is the outside patio which has a picnic table that seats about 30 people and a small octagon shaped one for the more romantic diners. If you're in too big a rush to enjoy a chat then save it for another day or a rainy day or a call in sick day and let "T" fix you some chicken soup which she normally does for many of her regulars. If you gotta have a real job this comes real close to being a good one if it could just pay the expenses, but after only a little over a year in the food business with others all around closing down it might just make it. The consignment shop/thrift store helps pull it out a little.
