Ballet North is a Dance education facility. on the corner of Hiram Acworth Hwy and Macland Rd.
We Offer Ballet, tap and flamenco, with programs lined up for the summer to bring jazz, hip hop, ballroom, cross training for dancers, music, and basic theatre training to our studio line up.
We are in a large space with high ceilings. A sprung basket woven floor and dance marley is used in all studios to protect the dancers' joints. Presently we have one large studio finished and are working on a children's studio and a professional size dance studio. Our studio boasts a separate lounge for parents and children, and a small kitchenette which dancers and parents are welcome to use. We also have a fenced in, outdoor area for children to use between classes or siblings to run and play.
Our studio strives to provide old world values, necessary in the teaching of our art form, with up to date technology. All students from Ballet Two and up, are evaluated every two months, a video is taken and studied by both teachers and students to aid in their progress.Students find this fun as well as educational. Parents are welcome to view the videos at any time. An exercise specialist tracks each child to offer suggestions and exercises that can improve the strength of each dancer's weak areas. All classes use age appropriate focus tools to aid in enjoyment and understanding of dance concepts. "Henry the Alligator" is our most popular focus tool in all levels.
Ballet North"s goal is to provide the best training available by; encouraging the students to explore what their bodies are capable of, using age appropriate music choices, encouraging their input in costume design, and actively particpate in the pursuit of excellence.
