The Pentagoet Inn was built in 1894 as a "summer hotel" to service the steamship trade. It's style is unique to the town with a prominent turret overlooking the bay. The inn has been in continuous use since its opening more than a century ago and is still centrally located for guests wishing to visit the downeast and Acadia areas of coastal Maine.
The dining at the Pentagoet provides an excellent way to end a day of venturing through the old forts and historical places available in Castine.
The inn is open May through October.
