• Cork and Canvas, Wine and Art Gallery is the fruit of the individual dreams of the owners – Mick and Sonia Ter Haar. Mick has been a certified Sommelier for over a decade and has an extensive beverage background. Sonia’s passion and training is art, hence the name – Cork and Canvas. They have blended their two passions into this natural, perfect match - a wine cellar and an art gallery. Mick personally hand picks all the wines available at the store and focuses on smaller, boutique wines. The majority of the 300-plus wines are priced between $11-$25. Mick loves to discover limited production wines and never shies away from sharing stories about the winemakers and the wineries. He lives to talk about wine, but is never pretentious about it, his favorite phrase is 'It's just grape juice … really, really yummy grape juice'. We offer free Wine Tastings every Saturday and Sunday afternoon starting at 1 pm. Wine classes and seminars are offered every first Thursday of the month. Cork and Canvas also features the works of local artists and showcases they talent on six-week rotation.
