The working studio for artist Lucinda Scharf, owner of Rooti Patooti's Art. The studio is situated in rural Rosewood, KY, in the historic 1850's home of Sherman Armstrong. Scharf is a fulltime artist whose paintings are featured in Greenville's gift shop "ON MAIN" and also sold in Russellville's shop "Kentucky Artisans".
Born in Bennington, Vermont, and raised in the valley at the base of the Taconic Mountain Range of New York, Lucinda Scharf has spent the majority of her life with one foot in Vt and the other in NY, surrounded by the legendary beauty of the region. Lucinda's daily walks, along dirt roads and creeks, provided the solitude needed to dream, to soak in nature's details, and to build her fortitude to withstand the lengthy New England winters.
Lucinda's paintings and drawings have been a delight to her large family for years. Yet, it has only been since 1999 that she permitted herself to share her talent with the public...not an easy step for this very private artist to allow herself to initially take, but now, it is a walk that she enjoys every day.
