Adult Behavior Management Program
Program Profile: This ten-week course is designed to teach persons acceptable expressions of anger and to eliminate violent and self-destructive behaviors. With the assistance of a trained anger management facilitator, clients will explore alternative behaviors and learn new coping techniques and skills that will positively impact their lives.
Classes address four focal points:
Communication Skills
Anger Management
Stress Management
Empathy
Each class allows the client or audience member to recognize the role of individual responsibility in changing “maladaptive” behavior. Clients will develop a working understanding of their own anger/stress patterns and responses, and will learn to use communication skills and listening techniques effectively. They will also gain better understanding of how ones’ family can be affected by inappropriate communication styles.
