Rhode Island New Moms Connection offers facilitated pregnancy & new moms groups throughout Rhode Island. It is a wonderful opportunity to share your experiences with others while building a community of new mom friends. Our groups meet meet 1.5 hours/week for 8 weeks. In the pregnancy groups, we discuss topics such as one's changing identity/roles, managing relationships with partners/friends, health, baby gear (what you need, what you don't), writing a birth plan, midwife/doctor/doula support, community resources, post partum support, etc. In our new moms groups, we discuss topics such as feeding/sleeping issues, relationships with partners/friends, and rediscovering yourself through motherhood. The cost per session (8 weeks) is $80. Refreshments and snacks will be provided each week; and you will leave with many useful articles, activities, and resources.
