• Given that I have to use at least three hundred and fifty characters to describe what I do, I will tell a little about myself. It was in the early nineties when I first got involved in the furniture restoration trade. The owner of the shop where I apprenticed, had put an ad in the paper looking for help. I was employed then, but looking for something different to do. It took about three years from the time I first started learning, to the time I became a crafstman. During that time, I learned from how to strip a piece of furniture, to how to perform a complete restoration. Along the way, I learned different techniques that could be applied to individual projects. Quality of service and workmanship was something that I strived to provide during those learning years and to this day. One of the most satisfaying things about this job, is that I may be preserving a family's heritage whenever I am entrusted with a particular piece that may have been in their possesion for generations.
