From My Daddy’s Heart was an idea that I had when my father passed away in May of 1993. His name was Jack and he was a self taught man who loved to work with has hands and design all sorts of things out of wood. His philosophy was, if you make one, you might as well make ten. In his woodshop there was a wide inventory of several kinds of wooden shelves, nick knacks, recipe holders and I could go on and on. So a couple months later, my husband and I came up with the idea to have a “craft show” in memory of my father in an effort to clean out the shop and prepare mom for the next chapter of her life. So the name, From My Daddy’s Heart was born. There’s not a day that goes by that I do not think of my father and in my heart, I know that he is proud of his legacy.
