Head Start is a Free Preschool program for eligible children. Early Head Start serves children ages 0- three years. We are seeking applications for children who will be three or four-years-old by September 1st and infants and toddlers. Head Start/Early Head Start serves children from low-income families, and eligible children with disabilities.
Let us help you prepare your child for kindergarten! Our Early Head Start program encourages children to develop self-help skills that are developmentally appropriate to assist them supporting a positive self-concept and enhancing self-esteem. Allowing children the opportunity to do the important work of their younger years. By providing children with a variety of appropriate activities, children will be encouraged to explore and enjoy the work of their early years! In Head Start, children learn to get along well with other children. They explore and learn through play; they learn about numbers, letters and words and many other things! Children eat breakfast, lunch and snack each day.
Parents may participate in planning and decision-making, and volunteer in the classroom to learn more about how to help children learn and develop. Teachers will visit you in your home to work on your children’s learning goals. They can also help you find ways to meet the needs of your family by finding resources you can use within the community.
