• The Conway Homestead and grounds, included is the Conway House and Barn, Maple Sugar House, Blacksmith Shop, and the Cramer Museum. A must see New England attraction which depicts life in early 1770 time period. Conway Homestead was built around 1770 by Robert Thorndike, the first White settler in Camden. Bean Hole Bean Suppers The 2nd Saturday each month June- Sept.......WE will have live music Too ! PLEASE JOIN US good food and a good time : bean-hole beans baked by Maynard Stanley Jr. in a hole in the ground at the Camden-Rockport Historical Society's historic Conway House complex, The supper starts at 5:00 p.m. and continues until the beans - Maine yellow-eyed beans cooked underground the old-fashioned way - run out. Menu: beans, Kirshner hot dog, coleslaw, biscuits with real butter and a pickle or two, plus an iced drink or coffee and the famous pie table, all homemade. The cost is $10 adults, $8 seniors and members, and $5 for those age 6 to 12, no charge for children under 6. Those who become a member of the Historical Society that evening eat for free.
