Studio J is an art and music studio in historic downtown Powell, Ohio. If you are just moving to the area it's a great place to bring your children to meet other parents and children for play dates. Classes start for babies in music where you hold your child on your lap as you sing and move. The teachers use guitar, piano and harp in the classes. Art classes begin at 15 months and the childen paint at an easel each week, fingerpaint, use clay and are introduced to loving art at a young age. The most popular class is Twos Create, an art class for two year olds. There are also preschool art and music classes. Dance and gymnastics classes are also taught here. The princess classes for ages 2 to 5 are adorable, and the Sports Prep class for little boys.
The music program is really solid in that there are piano, harp, guitar, voice and percussion teachers for lessons. Students can start at age 3 and it goes up to Grandmas taking lessons as well. The weekly music classes for various ages are really fun. Parents participate with children until age 6 so it really is a good way to get to know other parents.
They also have birthday parties here and it can be rented for baby showers and more. It's a fun place in downtown Powell.
