Running Springs is a village located 11 minutes from Lake Arrowhead the economic and social hub of our mountains. But Running Springs has lots to offer on its own. It is a quick 20 min ride up the mountains from Highland on the 330, 25 minutes from Redlands and San Bernadino or the rest of the inland empire and easy 1 hour from Palm Springs. It connects directly to the 215 and 210 for visitors from san diego , orange county and los angeles. Downtown Running Springs has great places to dine. From a quaint old fashioned coffee shop to three mexican resturants, to the best pizza around. We have wake the dead coffee at our gourmet coffee shop. Little gift shops offer novelty and practical items. We have a bank, post office and library. Great park for the kids to play. Hiking trails, Camping and ski snow board slopes only 7 min away. Toboggan runs also 7 min. Or park in safe locations and hit the woods for natural sled runs. In the spring we are known for our flowers. Wow do flowers grow great here. We have a lady who has been planting daffodil bulbs for years. She invites the public to view these bulbs in full bloom and walk the paths. See these wonderful flowers every April in Running Springs. We are known for our little cabins. Many back right to the forest. Many have wonderful views of the forest and the valley below. On a clear day you really can see Catalina from some of our views. We are located at 6600 feet. The air is clear, our water is so clear that arrowhead mountain water is pumped out of private wells right here in running springs. Large live oat trees dominate much of our areas as well as healthy massive pines. The air smells wonderful. Crisp walks in the late fall let you start to small a fireplace or two mixed with that wonderful pine smell. Sometimes even as a real estate agent I will just drive down a side street, park my car and walk. Our homes in our mountains started being built in the 20's. What a variety of styles!!!From cabin in the woods to Frank Lloyd Wright copy !! This is a great place to raise a family . I have sold lots of homes to police,fireman, teachers, and nurses who want reasonable homes and quick commutes. They also want safe clean family living. Running Springs offers that.
