I started working for a flat roof company in 1989. Had a chance to learn how to install and repair all kinds of flat roofing as an apprentice. Went on to work in the metal shop and learned how to fabricate and install all drip edge, gravel stop and flashing metal pertaining to each different kind of flat roof. Learned how to operate crane, received crane operator license through the state of NY to lift materials onto roof. Eventually went on to become foreman on big roofing projects. My company was bought out in 1997 and I found myself not agreeing with how things were being run by the new owners and decided to go off on my own in 1998.
