Flooring Fashions Inc is Arizona's local hardwood and laminate flooring store. My journey began as a kid helping my dad on the weekends and summer doing tile. (I hated it) I did however constantly find myself making things with wood. At 16 I wanted a drivers license and found a local hardwood flooring shop that would work me part time on Saturdays and during the summer. (My obsession begins) I worked for the biggest flooring company in Phoenix (at the time) and learned like I should starting from the bottom. I was eager and quick to learn. The owner referred to me as his redheaded step child lol. I learned so much about business from him. At 22 I took a break for 3 years and traveled the US with a box of clothes and my truck w/ tools. I learned how to do my job in various states from Va to Texas to Oklahoma, Nebraska and even Nevada. This has come in very handy when understanding how wood works in various climates. Eventually back in Az working for my grey headed step father. Until the big crash and learning that the company was for sale. I had an offer from a company to sub. I did that and acquired my business license and a business partner. Slowly upgrading my license from Sole to LLC and now Corp. Today we are still a small company but the difference is noticeable. With every other guy carrying a jigsaw and claiming to be a wood expert but can't tell what species of raw woods they are looking at. Most have no clue what the NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) is. The difference is schooling, being certified, and knowing what products will hold up per household and Arizona's climate. Not every wood available will work here. At flooring fashions we have had years in figuring out a great selection and offer them at reasonable prices. We don't run off dishonest business practices. The price is the price and we don't see the extra prep then its a very reasonable hourly rate. The only surprise in the end is the difference we made in your home.
