Red Shed Cottage is a newly renovated guest house situated on the property of Pickett Hill Farm, an 1830's complex. The cottage is ideally situated to capture the essence of the rural countryside of the Lakes Region of Western Maine. Nestled on
a hilltop, Red Shed Cottage is completely private and secluded, yet only 30 minutes to N. Conway, 1 hour to Portland, and 1 hour to Bethel(Sunday River ski area). Pickett Hill Farm offers splendid views of open fields, Pleasant Mountain and the surrounding forests,attracting naturalists, painters and photographers, as well as those who seek a restful vacation. For the more active guests, year ‘round activities are available right from the front door: cross country skiing, snow shoeing, hiking through 200 acres and swimming in the large pond. Red Shed Cottage has an open concept main room, sitting area with wood stove and sleeping space, a fully equipped self-catered kitchen (stocked with coffee and juice for the morning), modern bath and a sleeping loft with full bed. There is a screened porch overlooking Pleasant Mtn. (elev. 2006') and the open fields and stone walls.
Red Shed Cottage sleeps up to four adults and is $45/per person/per night. Weekly rates available.
