• Thornton's Whitewater Rafting Resort offers three 2 bedroom cabins and two 3 bedroom cabins as well as nice, large wooded campsites with electricity and water. All cabins are fully furnished with nice yards with firepits and picnic tables. We offer fun, safe and exciting whitewater rafting trips on the Roaring Rapids section of the Peshtigo River daily, April through October. We have all of the latest equipment for whitewater rafting and well-trained, personable guides. Join us in April and early May for challenging spring run-off trips that guarantee crashing whitewater and class 3 and 4 rapids. We also have a paintball field that offers a strategic and speedball course. We are across the road from Caldron Lake, a 1300 acre class A Musky lake available for swimming, with a public boat launch for water skiing or fishing. Horseback riding, golfing, hiking, sight seeing close to the resort. Thornton's has a bar with food, D.J. on the weekends and volleyball and horseshoe courts. For winter enthusiasts, stay in one of our cabins directly on the Iron Snowshoe Trail, which has over 100 miles of scenic, marked and groomed trails. Enjoy ice fishing on Caldron Lake. Join us for our annual Radar Runs/Fishoree held on the last weekend in January.
