A Color Field Approach to Photography
An assemblage, by happenstance, of interacting elements lying in one or more planes in my view finder; bound by color in space and having the force of an implied relationship.
Digitization is Art Photography's BIG BANG. Its conventions are flying apart to the furthest corners of the universe.
Manipulation is everything. Effects are paramount. No pleasure is to be gotten from the ironical commentary that once ran through the art portfolio.
My impulse in confronting the possibilities of digital image making has been to cross the boundary lines of the conventional into the no-man's land that has always challenged art makers when the obvious has faded from view.
