- The Mon Valley Cloggers is a group of your south western Pennsylvania neighbors and friends sharing a common hobby - clog dancing. (When people ask "What is clogging?", I tell them "Hillbilly Tap Dancing".) Since formation in 1992 we have performed over 550 shows, entertaining at county fairs, community festivals, clubs, schools and care homes. Fair and festival shows are typically one hour and include a variety of music and dances - circles, figures, lines, couples, etc. Club shows usually include an audience participation segment so those who participated can go home and brag that the cloggers taught them a simple dance and they danced with the cloggers. Care and health facility shows end with the birdie dance so even those confined in wheel chairs can participate. We have a variety of costumes, music and dances to match your program theme. We are members of C.L.O.G. the national clogging organization, are ASCAP and BMI licensed to play recorded music for clogging and are insured for liability and dancer medical. We have no set charge, but accept donations to cover operating expenses. New and experienced dancers are always welcome.
