Pierre, SD : South Dakota’s majestic State Capitol building in Pierre was completed in 1910. The Capitol complex features Capitol Lake, a man-made artesian lake adjacent to the Capitol Building. Many visitors come to see and feed the birds and enjoy the serene beauty of the lake.
