I have been to 5 of the clubs in Dallas, Mostly Mockingbird, Greenville and Skillman locations. I will give reviews for each club starting with the current Skillman location. I have been a membership with LA Fitness since May of 2015. I started with independent workouts. I began with a personal trainer in August of 2015. Far and few are the good trainers. The girl Alex is a joke at the Skillman location. She knows little of what she does and has a bad attitude but she makes LA Fitness look good by her physic and gets the guys attention. I guess that IS her asset. She plays on her phone a lot, and the guys flirt with her. She does not pay attention to her clients with correct body positioning, and technique. I am just waiting for an injury to occur with one of her clients. She was my first trainer at this club. She shows up over 15 minutes late. I wanted to end it with her and she begged me to give her a chance. I did and that was the last training session with her. I was told by Conner that she was good. He was wrong. I was also informed by him that he would communicate my needs and goals. She didn't get any of that information, rather she stated, she would give me a work out that she uses for herself. Does she not know that she needs to work with the client's needs and physical requirements rather than her own personal routine? No, she does not care what your training needs are only what works for her. I see her work with her clients and it is scary. Ever since I ended the training with her she shows NO PROFESSIONALISM, she has a bad attitude. She gets paid for her physique, not her training. The other trainers are master trainers and will not work with you unless you pay the fee. I had over 58 training sessions I wanted to use but not waste on an inexperienced trainer. I got one good trainer and he left for another job in his education field. I was most disappointed with LA Fitness Cooperate which insisted I pay extra money on top of the $4,000 already paid to get a better trainer. The only trainers available were master trainers. You would think that they would give you some leniency but it is a business and you have to look out for yourself and not believe what you hear. The place is overall clean and the people are nice and personal. I am giving ONE STAR for the trainer ALEX and the COOPERATE OFFICE. By the way do not let the VP Manager, TRAVIS ever sell you a package.
Would you recommend LA Fitness: LAKE HIGHLANDS to others? No
