Description: If the kids are bored with the ocean but still want to get wet, head to Ocean Breeze Waterpark. It’s the area’s water park, offering 16 waterslides, a million-gallon Runaway Bay wave pool, the Buccaneer Bay Water Playground, and other attractions. It’s an easy 2-mile drive from the resort area. Here you can ride a tube through Jungle Falls, drop through Bamboo Shoots, or grab a mat and head down Kool Runnings, Pelican Falls, and Toucan Tunnel, the original slides that have been going strong for 27 years. For smaller children, there’s Kiddie Caverns, where parents and tots can go together. The latest attractions are Walk the Plank, a 200-foot dark tunnel with a 50-foot drop into Davy Jones’ Locker and Pirates Plummet, with a tunnel that opens just as you plunge straight down. There are private poolside cabanas as well.
