Description: One of the most memorable ways to experience Smoky Mountain views is from high up in the air. This tour operator with more than 25 years’ experience will take you on local helicopter flights that cover different areas between Douglas Lake and Pigeon Forge. These flights range from two-minute introductory flights for $10 per person to 24-mile trips over the Pigeon Forge foothills for $67 per person. Longer flights going as far as Gatlinburg and Wears Valley range from 28 to 80 miles and cost between $85 and $233 per person. (Exact flight times are flexible.) Riders wear headsets and listen to in-flight narration. If you’re in town to get married, you might also consider Scenic’s aerial weddings and honeymoon flights. Scenic Helicopter Tours is open year-round, but flights run only when weather permits. Children younger than two fly free.
